2006 Cu Chi Charity Run

Thank you to all of our sponsors who donated and assisted in this coming weekends Charity Run - SSC, Unavailable, Rebranded, New Zealand X cream, The Shamrock Bar ,Texas BBQ, AB Promotions, Sub Cafe, The Caravelle Hotel, The Park Hyatt, Princess D'Annam resort, Renaissance Riverside Hotel, Woraburi resort, Arahmas resort and The Aiyapura resort.

Please note all drivers must wear a crash helmet for the trip out to Cu Chi. We will be leaving from Saigon Scooter Centre office at 9.30-10.00am. Our meeting place in Cu Chi town centre is Am Thuc Vuon Pho II restaurant at midday. From here we'll be leaving for the Red Cross office at 1pm.

After the success of last years Vung Tau Charity Run, SSC is organizing the 2006 Cu Chi Red Cross Run. Leaving at 10 am, with a short 40 km trip to Cu Chi township, just north of Saigon. Lunch at 12 at "Am thuc vuon pho 2", a restaurant in Cu Chi centre. Then a 5 minute drive to the Red Cross offices in town. The Red Cross currently have over 500 families relying on there financial support, with all living well below the poverty line. We'd like to assist with a basic food package prepared by those involved consisting of rice,noodles, cooking oil etc with a minimum value of at least 75,000 VND. We'll be handing over directly to a number of the more needy families. Many suffering from the immediate and long term effects of agent orange. All remaining food packs will be distributed by The Red Cross. We'll then head back to Boeing Reataurant in Tan Binh district with "A poker run" , cheap drinks, BBQ, Custom Show, Music and a Raffle with all profits being donated to The Red Cross.
