Scooter Vietnam Exhibition August 30th/31st 2008

Scooter Vietnam Exhibition is a meeting for those of us who love all classic scooters regardless you are Vietnamese or expats. The event is organized by Vespa Friends - a Saigon group dedicated to the love of the famed Italian scooter. This year’s meet - the first ever - will be held at the Mango Garden Resort, Phuoc-Tan Ward, Long-Thanh Township, Dong-Nai Province on August 30th and 31st.

Vespa Friends expects a contingent of 500 Vespas, Lambrettas, Piaggios, classic motorcycles and cars and mopeds; there will also be members of the media and government officials from different local agencies.

This event will include the following activities: showcase of various scooters and motorcycles in Vietnam, many contests and games with prizes, and Scooter Clinic with experience mechanics.

In addition to be on printed media, Scooter Vietnam Exhibition activities will also be published on electronic media such as websites of Viet Nam Vespa Friends, Mango Garden Resort, Trai Tim Viet Nam Online, Honda 67, Saigon CD Club together with many other websites hosted outside of Vietnam.

I. Schedule

Day 1. August 30th

15h:00 Guest arrival

16h:00 Mechanical Care (Scooter clinic)

18h:00 General activity

19h:00 Opening dinner party

(1) Speech, bonfire

(2) Bidding, charity works

20h:00 Announcement of next day’s activities

Dance party, celebration with dancers

Day 2. August 31st

08h:00 Official opening

(1) Display/Show

(2) Vendors displaying their wares

10h:00 Games/Contests (boating, obstacle events for scooters)

12h:00 Lunch

14h:00 Prize distribution/Closing ceremony

II. Admission ticket and privileges

Each admission ticket is 150,000 VND (one hundred and fifty thousand dongs) which include the following:

Dinner on August 30th and lunch on August 31st
Entry admittance
Overnight tent accommodation (Air-con rooms are available starting at 400.000VND around 25USD)
One (1) accompanying kid under 10 year-old
Participation on all activities: display, contests, games, entertainment, etc…
